          To learn the methods and skills to separate the mixture of substances using their physical characteristics.

          • 5. 10月 11日 - 10月 17日

            To learn the methods and skills to measure the water content (absorbed water and hydrated water) in solids using copper sulfate.

            • 6. 10月 18日 - 10月 24日

              (1) To determine the numbers of moles of potassium, chlorine and oxygen in the sample of potassium chlorate (KClO3) by an analytical method.

              (2) To determine the chemical formula of potassium chlorate (KClO3) by its empirical formula.

              • 7. 10月 25日 - 10月 31日

                To verify the Boyle’s Law using the relationship between gas volume and gas pressure when the amount of gas maintains constant at certain temperature.

                • 8. 11月 1日 - 11月 7日

                  (1) To familiar with the vapor density measurement.

                  (2) To calculate the molecular mass of solvent using the vapor density and ideal gas equation (PV = nRT)

                  • 10. 11月 15日 - 11月 21日

                    (1) To familiar with the calculation for the concentration of solutions.

                    (2) To practice the procedures of preparing standard solutions.

                    • 11. 11月 22日 - 11月 28日

                      To determine the total weights of matters before and after a reaction for the confirmation of the Law of Mass Conservation.

                      • 12. 11月 29日 - 12月 5日

                        (1) To understand the concept of neutralization.

                        (2) To practice the operation of titration.

                        (3) To calculate the concentration of unknown acidic or basic solution using titration.

                        • 13. 12月 6日 - 12月 12日

                          (1) To familiar with the redox reactions.

                          (2) To understand the oxidation strength of Zn, Pb, and Cu (metal activity series).

                          • 14. 12月 13日 - 12月 19日

                            (1) To familiar with the measurement of reaction heats for dissolution and neutralization.

                            (2) To calculate the enthalpy of reaction.

                            • 15. 12月 20日 - 12月 26日

                              (1) To understand the definition of pH.

                              (2) To familiar with the operation of a pH meter.

                              (3) To measure the pH of a solution using indicators and a pH meter.
