This course is designed to introduce the properties, basic reaction principles and fundamental approach of analysis of the pollution-related chemical substances present in the environment. The contents include the fundamentals of aquatic chemistry, oxidation-reduction in aquatic chemistry, complexation in natural waters, the catalysis of aquatic chemical reactions, liquid-sold-gas interactions in aquatic chemistry, water pollution & treatment, environmental chemical analysis, geochemistry and environmental chemistry, the nature and composition of the atmosphere, gaseous inorganic pollutants, particles in the atmosphere, photochemical smog, organic pollutants in the atmosphere, atmosphere monitoring, natural resources and energy, environmental biochemistry and chemical toxicology, sustainable energy and source, and environmental chemistry of hazardous wastes.
