The course provides the foundation for students to work in home care. It focuses on the basic knowledge, values, analytic, multicultural and practice skills necessary for practice. Upon completion of this course, students are expected to: (1) understand the goals and strategies of home care programs; (2) describe the organization and principles of management in home care services; (3) understand the roles and functions of the supervisors in home care; (4) pay attention to ethical issues in home care and learn how to deal with ethical conflicts; (5) understand the operation and mechanism of transdisciplinary teamwork in home care settings.
