This course iis designed for students who have completed organic chemistry(一)and further need a sound knowledge of modern organic chemistry. The major aspects include in this course are : the basic theory, practical aspects and application of mass, ir, nmr and uv spectroscopy; tests chemical and derivatization for each major class of organic compounds; the integrated application of spectral analysis and chemical methods in identification of organic compounds; and the basic structure and chemical properties of carhohydrate, lipid protein and nucleic acid.
