This course introduces basic concepts and applications of electronic commerce (EC) for undergraduate students. This course provides students with fundamental knowledge and capabilities to implement electronic commerce practices. The major topics included in this course are (1) Applications of information technology on EC: infrastructure for EC, web site planning, payment systems, search engine for consumer product, information systems security consideration, etc., (2) Management of EC business: EC strategy, product position, and market segmentation, applications of EC, etc., (3) Economic and law issues on EC (tax, privacy, electronic signature, etc. Case studies on EC are introduced in this course.
