The subject of the course is to let students know animals through their behavioral, physiological, or morphological characteristics. Firstly, flow chart of animal observation of dairy cattle, pig, and chicken will be introduced. Dairy cattle: hoof health, rumen health, body condition score, cattle behavior in milking parlor, heifer and dry cow, dairy cattle health. Pig: gilt and weaning sow, mating and dry sow, farrowing and milking sow and piglet, weaning and nursery, growing finish pig and loading chute, pig health. Chicken: hatchery, pullet and chicken, layer, breeder, broiler, poultry health.
