The competitive trends in the Twentieth Century nowadays have been transformed from the traditional way of “from businesses to businesses” into the way of “supply chains to supply chains”. The trend of globalization has also changed the business model into the style of global supply chain which including global procurement and global distribution. The main purpose of this course is to teach the relative techniques of logistics and supply chain management and how to use those techniques and concepts to manage and enhance business operations to be more efficiently and more competitively. This course will first introduce topics of the system framework of logistics supply chain, business strategies, and management models. The course will also study all the decision analysis tools related to the design of supply chain, prediction of needs, inventory management, and production management. In the course, the discussion of the trend of e-logistics management is also provided. This course intends to understand the importance of logistics management in a global aspect and try also to study and implement the results in our native businesses to get a winning position.
