The purpose of this course is to get learners pertinent understanding what's basic properties of soil and how to measure them. The exercises contents begin at soil sampling, and the others could be divided into four parts. First, is a series exercises of soil basic properties such as sieving, mechanical analysis, bulk and particle density measurement; secondary, measures pore and water translocation such as porosity, field capacity, moisture potential and hydraulic conductivity measurement; Part three focuses on aggregate stability and analysis; last, intended to measure Atterberg limit and each soil index also.
