Freshman English (2) (Level 1) aims to develop students’ basic reading skills in English. A unified English final exam is offered to evaluate students’ progress. This course is designed to help build up students’ vocabulary, strengthen their foundation in sentence patters, and improve their grammar skills. With authentic materials related to students’ daily experience, they will be able to develop a basic foundation in reading and further be able to read and understand a variety of articles by using appropriate reading strategies.
