課程大綱Course Description：

本課程旨在讓學生了解紙張性質及其經加工製造對性質結果用途應用。其內容包括：紙及紙板之分類、紙之物理性質、紙之力學性質、紙之光學性質、紙之電學性質、紙之印刷適性及紙之耐久性。並由各種紙張種類及不同加工製造程序的認知，塗布紙、紙板、各種機能紙以及紙質包裝容器等之加工與利用。讓學生了解紙加工之現況與其未來趨勢之走向。

English Outline：

The objective of the course is to acquaint students with nature of paper variation. Test for evaluating paper quality and how to use paper properties. The contents are as following：classification of the paper and paperboard, physical properties of paper, strength properties of paper, optical properties of paper, electrical properties of paper, printability of paper, permanence of paper.This course reviews knowledge and techniques of paper converting, varies manufacturing .It included manufactured and applied for coating paper, paperboard, function paper and paper packing container. The objective is to acquaint students with paper converting situation and future.

配合社會環境變遷及產業發展脈動，強化優質綠環境與生態材料－木質資源材料之物理及化學利用技術之改良與運用，及其應用於與吾人生活環境息息相關之木建築結構設計、空間設計、家具設計、生活產品設計與木竹籐工藝設計等之教學，落實學生實習操作及實務技巧，培育「適才適用」之木質資源材料性質與加工之基礎理論，並結合科學理論與文化內涵於設計創作實務之運用能力，以達技術職業教育之目標。 大學部：訓練學生具備林產加工利用及其設計理論與實務技術，培育兼具中、小型企業經營及國際化理念之人才。
