This lab practice is designed in accordance with the "Plant Propagation Techniques" course. The aim of the lab is to allow the students to familiarize with the different techniques of plant propagation. The practices include (1) introduction to propagation environment, growth substrates, fertilizers, containers and sanitation methods; (2) sexual propagation techniques such as seed viability testing, direct and indirect seeding, transplanting and seed harvest; (3) asexual propagation techniques such as stock plant selection and management, propagation by cuttings, grafting, layering and specialized underground structures. |
