課程大綱Course Description：

讓學生對「動物科學與與畜產系」之學習領域與相關科學有一初步認識，便於衡量自己未來方向。引導認識本系教育目標、研究方向和主題，並認識學校實習畜牧場和技藝訓練中心畜牧組，以及介紹如何利用圖書館以及網際網路等管道，探索動物科學與畜產相關資源，循序漸進培養動物科學與畜產興趣及往後的規劃。

本科目教學目標Course Objectives：

為提升台灣禽畜產業之競爭力，結合畜產科學與生物科技，培育具備種畜禽遺傳育種改良技術、高效率繁殖生產技術、現代化禽畜舍規劃與飼養管理技術、飼料配方設計與製造技術、安全畜產品開發與利用技術、實驗動物飼養管理技術及永續禽畜場管理技術等專業人才。同時，應用理論與實務並重之課程模組，養成兼具社會道德倫理與多元文化素養之現代化經濟動物生產之技術管理人才，以開拓畜產業之新契機。
