課程大綱Course Description：

本課程分為兩大部分，授課教師於第一部分將介紹大眾媒體研究至文化研究的基本理論概念，並且透過媒體科技發展的歷史引導修課同學思考「人」、「科技」與「社會」三者之間互動的關係，以及思考「媒體科技」的社會意義。課程的第二部分則運用社會學取徑的文化研究方法，在解讀媒體內容時帶入當代台灣社會議題，藉由各種媒體類型與媒體再現來帶領修課同學進一步思考與批判台灣當代社會的不同面向與議題。

English Outline：

The course is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on basic theoretical concepts in mass media communication studies and cultural studies. By introducing basic theories of communication studies and cultural studies, the course will explore the interplay of humans, technologies, and societies. The second part of the course focuses on the sociological approaches to cultural studies by introducing contemporary social issues through the lens of media studies.
