課程大綱Course Description：

本課程為全英語授課。主要以外籍人士/學生為解說對象，介紹台灣自然生態與原住民人文之美。 台灣3000公尺以上的高山密度全世界罕見，地形崎嶇多變孕育出複雜的生態系與文化多樣性，皆是發展國際旅遊的重要資源。本課程除了可以應用在休閒旅遊的規劃，全英語授課主要還為了培養學生成為國際導覽人才。課程內容主要為台灣各國家公園、森林遊樂區，以及能代表重要原住民族文化特色的景點介紹，並加上相關的遊程規劃指引。上課方式包含課堂講述，也會實地帶學生到鄰近國家步道、森林遊樂區、國家公園或原住民部落參訪與導覽。由於部分課程為實地參訪，場域多半在山區，因此課程中也會傳授相關登山健行的基本技巧與安全知識。

English Outline：

The aim of this course plans to give foreign students a general picture of the beauty of Taiwan wilderness and traditional culture of indigenous people who live on the natural resources for at least thousands years. And will guide students how to apply to enter some control area and draw up travel plans in Taiwan. This course will introduce the natural and cultural resources and characteristics of several National hiking Trails, National Parks, National Scenic Areas and Forest Recreation Areas in Taiwan. Especially the interaction between traditional daily life (buildings, food, hunting, handicrafts ... etc.) of local people and wildlife. During the semester, students will have chance to experience hiking some introduced areas near the campus.
