課程大綱Course Description：

隨著國家級藝文場館「國家兩廳院」、「臺中國家歌劇院」、「屏東演藝廳」、「衛武營國家藝術文化中心」等陸續啟用，藝文風氣漸盛，為培養學生音樂素養，增進美感經驗，由通識教育中心姜宜君與木設系龍暐兩位老師合授「提琴之美」課程，以人文、藝術、科學實作等跨領域面向，講授提琴的歷史、提琴發音演奏與示範、提琴演奏家及中西提琴名曲欣賞，並實地參觀本校「學院琴」手工琴工坊，認識木材相關知識與樂器製作過程，以及木材特性與提琴外觀、音色之關聯探討。期末分組報告將依課程單元內容深入主題探究與發表。

English Outline：

The classical music scene in Taiwan has been flourishing due to recent openings of world-class concert halls, including the “Pingtung County Performing Arts Center” located in southern Taiwan. The course “Violin Craftsmanship and Music” aims to provide interdisciplinary learning in humanity, arts, and science by introducing violin’s history, the sound production, the virtuosi, and the western and Taiwanese repertoire. The course activities include a visit to“The Academy of Strings”on campus. The students will present a final project on the topic of “Violin Craftsmanship and Music” either in the forms of static or dynamic.
