課程大綱Course Description：

學習專題論文撰寫時所需之圖表與申論論文體裁之高階作文寫作技巧。學習高階留學考試如:雅思之作文考試題材(主要為Task 1:圖表，搭配Task 2:申論)之撰寫技巧。 請同學準備一本針對此作文課程的A4大小筆記本，將隨堂的練習寫在筆記本中，相關作業一併在同一本筆記本裡撰寫，下課前繳交筆記當作課堂參與、出席與作業成績登記和批改用。

English Outline：

This course is set out to help students learn how to write academic reports accurately and clearly. Students will be guided how to write paragraphs showing trends in line graphs, bar charts, pie charts, tables, and diagrams so as to prepare themselves with skills to write their own graduation project reports in the future. Furthermore, they will be taught writing skills for longer argumentative essays discussing their views and giving their own opinions on the assigned topics. Upon the completion of this course, students will be more capable of taking language proficiency tests, such as IELTS. Assessments:  Weekly assignments 10%  attendance and participation 30%  Mid-term exam 30%  Final exam 30%
