課程大綱Course Description：

本課程介紹畜牧生產之基本知識1.緒論-畜牧學之定義、範圍、與家畜之功用。2.家畜鑑別-乳牛、肉牛、豬、羊及家禽鑑別。3.家畜育種-孟德爾遺傳法則，遺傳基因說明、育種之方法、家畜之選擇、人工授精。4.家畜飼養-飼料之功用、平衡日糧、營養需要( 蛋白質、能、礦物質、維他命、水及飼料添加劑 )手飼與自飼之比較，幼畜棚飼，飼料調製等。5.乳牛、肉牛、豬、綿羊及山羊-品種、繁殖與育成、飼養與管理。

English Outline：

This course deals with the fundamental knowledge of animal production. 1.Introduction - The definition of animal Science and Function of animal. 2.Livestock Judging - Judging of dairy cattle ,Beef cattle, Swine,Sheep and Poultry. 3.Animal Breeding-Mendel's Law,Genes, The methods of animal breeding,Selection of animal ,Artificial insernination.4.Animal Feeding-The function of feeds, Balanced ration Nutritive needs (protein,energy,minerals, Vitamins and Water),Hand Feeding ,Self feeding, deep feeding and Feed preparation. 5.Beef Cattle,Dairy Cattle ,Swine, Sheep,Goat-Breeds, Reproduction and Raising ,Feeding and management, etc.
