課程大綱Course Description：

本課程想藉由造形基本設計及家具結構設計的目的切入家具設計的實務，並透過了解多位家具設計師不同的設計手法，使學生加以應用於現代家具的設計。 加強學生對家具製作上各項材料性質的認識，以善用正確的材料製作適宜的家具。引導學生學習設計程序及技法並利用各項繪圖工具，繪製所需之設計草圖及正式圖面，以發揮其創造能力。同時實施自行設計家具案例檢討，並配合設計圖面練習模型製作及實體製作。

English Outline：

TThe lecture leads to the practice of furniture design by introducing basic design of modeling and furniture structure. The diversified methods of design of various furniture designers introduced in the lecture are the foundations and resources which students could adopt in their designs for modern furniture. The lecture enhances the knowledge on the nature of various materials used in furniture manufacturing, which enable students to select proper and correct materials for furniture. Additionally, procedure and technique of design are also contained in this lecture, encouraging students to adopt various drawing tools to produce necessary draft and formal drawing, so as to realize their creativities. Meanwhile, the lecture includes case review on self-designed furniture; model and real-size product making based on the designed layout.

本科目教學目標Course Objectives：

本課程除使學生瞭解各式家具種類及功能，並透過對家具設計史及各設計師的介紹，讓學生了解一件家具產生的過程。還探討不同設計方法及家具結構設計，以及各種接合方法之特點，製作方法與補強措施，同時藉由木工操作實習之正確方法來訓練學生不同型式家具組件之接合實務，並由自行設計之成品，訓練其應具備之各種技巧與技術，使學生能應用於家具設計與製造上，並配合設計圖面練習模型製作。
