課程大綱Course Description:
本課程的主要目標在於培養學生以英文書寫來解決真實問題的能力,並能將英文寫作技巧有效應用於觀光導覽、文創展覽、行銷廣告及產品設計等實務領域中。課程希望學生不僅能掌握不同文體(如描述、說服、敘事、廣告文案等)的基本結構與用語,更能依據不同的任務需求,創作出兼具專業性、創意與感染力的英文作品。

學生在學習過程中,將透過小組合作與跨領域的專題任務,學會如何收集與分析資料、規劃專案並用英文進行溝通與表達。課程鼓勵學生主動探索、觀察生活與文化現場,並將所見所感轉化為適切的英文文字,提升他們對語言的實用性和靈活運用的認識。

此外,本課程也重視創意思維與跨文化素養的培養。學生需學會以目標受眾為中心思考,設計出貼近市場需求、富有說服力的內容,並結合圖像、影片、簡報等多模態元素,創造出能在國際環境中溝通的作品。

最後,學生還將學習如何在反覆修訂與同儕互評的過程中精進自己的作品,並在最終的發表或展演中展現自信與專業。課程期待學生能夠達到「學以致用」的目標,畢業後能將英文寫作視為專業表達與跨文化交流的重要工具,應用於未來的學習、職場與國際合作之中。
English Outline:
The primary objective of this course is to cultivate students’ ability to use English writing to solve real-world problems and to apply English writing skills effectively in practical fields such as tourism interpretation, cultural and creative exhibitions, advertising, and product design. The course aims for students to master the basic structures and expressions of various writing genres (such as descriptive, persuasive, narrative, and advertising writing) and to create English works that are not only professional and creative but also impactful.

Throughout the learning process, students will engage in group collaboration and interdisciplinary projects to learn how to collect and analyze data, plan projects, and communicate effectively in English. The course encourages students to actively explore, observe real-life and cultural settings, and transform their observations into appropriate English expression, thereby enhancing their understanding of language’s practicality and flexibility.

In addition, the course places great emphasis on the development of creative thinking and intercultural competence. Students are expected to adopt audience-centered thinking, design persuasive content aligned with market needs, and integrate multimodal elements such as images, videos, and presentations to create works that communicate effectively in international contexts.

Finally, students will learn to refine their work through iterative drafting and peer review, and to present their final projects with confidence and professionalism. The course ultimately expects students to achieve the goal of applying what they learn in real-life contexts, positioning English writing as a key tool for professional expression and cross-cultural communication—useful for their future academic pursuits, careers, and international collaboration.
