課程大綱Course Description:
本課程涵蓋專業園藝治療的基礎知識,包括園藝活動、園藝療育、(社交/)治療性園藝與園藝治療的定義、園藝治療的歷史發展與現況、相關理論、與自然互動的益處、研究方法,以及各類型的園藝治療方案。課程同時簡要介紹大腦神經科學,以協助理解感覺、知覺、認知與動作(行為)過程。最後,課程也介紹台灣與美國園藝治療協會(AHTA)的認證系統,以及美國園藝治療協會的「治療性園藝實施者(THP)」與「註冊園藝治療師(HTR)」的專業註冊流程。
English Outline:
This course provides foundational knowledge of professional horticultural therapy, including definitions of horticultural therapy and therapeutic horticulture, the historical development and current status of horticultural therapy, related theories, the benefits of interacting with nature, research methods, and various types of horticultural therapy programs. The course also briefly introduces brain neuroscience to help understand sensory, perception, cognition, and movement (behavior) processes. Finally, it presents the American Horticultural Therapy Association and the professional registration process for THP and HTR with AHTA.

1. 區分「園藝活動」、「園藝療育」、「治療性園藝」與「園藝治療」的定義與內涵 (Differentiate the definitions and connotations of “horticultural activities,” “therapeutic effect of horticulture and education,” “therapeutic horticulture,” and “horticultural therapy.”
2. 說明園藝治療的歷史、發展與現況 (Describe the history, development, and current status of horticultural therapy)
3. 理解並應用與園藝治療相關的理論 (Understand and apply theories related to horticultural therapy)
4. 說明園藝治療與自然環境對人類的效益,以及相關的研究結果 (Describe the benefits of horticultural therapy and nature environments to human beings, along with related research findings)
5. 說明園藝治療的研究方法、評估與成果 (Describe the HT research methods, evaluation, and outcomes)
6. 區分不同類型的園藝治療方案及其適當應用情境 (Distinguish different types of horticultural therapy programs and their appropriate applications)
7. 理解大腦神經科學的基礎知識 (Understand basic knowledge of brain neuroscience)
8. 介紹台灣認證系統與美國園藝治療協會,並了解解申請美國園藝治療協會專業 THP 與 HTR 認證的流程 (Introduce Taiwan’s certificate methods and the American Horticultural Therapy Association, and understand the process for applying for professional THP and HTR certification with AHTA.)
