English Outline：

The aim of course Introduction to periods, areas and central works and artists in world art. Students take professional course, they can build up general abilities in art education, theoretical research and art practice, and strengthening the depth and thoughts of arts and humanities. The program will be divided by aspects of area and time period to introduce the major development and influence in history of Art. Ancient Art: The Art of Greece and Rome Medieval Art in Western and Eastern Europe Art of the Renaissance Western European Art of the Seventeenth- Nineteenth Centuries Art in the Twentieth Century; Modern Art and Artistic Culture Art of the Middle East and Islamic Art Art of India and East Asia

1探尋人文思想與發展的歷史脈絡 2.研究藝術美學 , 在社會文化與政治經濟的背景中，分析藝術思潮的起落的原因 3.在藝術理論的辯證中，發現藝術美學對文明發展的正面力量 4.理解藝術的意涵，得以評鑑藝術的價值
