二十一世紀最顯著的科學典範轉移與科技創新就是人工智慧的發明與廣泛應用,特別是在加速提供永續發展難題的解方部分,數位化與ESG 實踐在學術研究及實務執行上齊名成為雙軸轉型的機會和挑戰。不但傳統的企業社會責任(CSR)已逐漸被ESG (環境、社會與治理)取代,公部門各種中央級公共政策制定及地方政府城市治理也透過永續發展自願檢視報告 (VLR)將聯合國十七項永續發展目標與公共治理做策略結合和跨部門整合。此外,公私部門逐年增加人工智慧技術在平台經濟與平台數位治理之應用更開創了數位永續(Digitainability )這個新名詞與趨勢。 此課程在以上學術及實務的發展脈絡下,期望帶領學生從認識數位化與ESG的雙軸轉型歷史發展及理論背景談起,再依序探索人工智慧在聯合國十七個永續發展目標的多元應用,並同時反思每一個永續發展問題若從人工智慧尋求解方時可能會發生的多面向挑戰,培訓學生逐漸採用數位化導向思考,善用科技創新來為難以解決及高度互賴的社會經濟棘手問題找到創新解方。 |
English Outline: |
The most significant scientific paradigm shift and technological innovation in the 21st century is the invention and widespread application of artificial intelligence. Especially in accelerating the provision of solutions to sustainable development problems, digitalization and ESG practice have become equally famous in academic research and practical implementation as generating opportunities and challenges in dual-axis transformation. Not only has traditional corporate social responsibility (CSR) been gradually replaced by ESG (environment, society and governance), various central-government level public policy formulations in the public sector and local government urban governance have also included seventeen UN SDGs through the Voluntary Review Report on Sustainable Development (VLR) for strategic and cross-sectoral integration. In addition, the public and private sectors are increasing the application of artificial intelligence technology in platform economy and platform digital governance year by year, creating a new term and trend called digitainability. In the context of the above academic and practical development, this course hopes to lead students to start by understanding the historical development and theoretical background of the dual-axis transformation of digitalization and ESG, and then sequentially explore the diverse aspects of artificial intelligence in the application of United Nations' seventeen sustainable development goals. Furthermore, a critical reflection on the multi-faceted challenges that may arise when seeking solutions to every sustainable development problem from artificial intelligence is carried out, training students to gradually adopt digital-oriented thinking and make good use of technological innovation to solve difficult and highly interdependent socio-economic problems. |
