課程大綱Course Description：

中英筆譯課程共有二學期。本課程為筆譯（一），目的是培養學生對筆譯具有正確觀念，介紹中英文語言的差異及基本翻譯理論，並教導學生使用各種字典、百科、網路等翻譯輔助工具，最後藉由講解實作訓練學生習得常見之中英筆譯技巧。

English Outline：

This introductory English-Chinese translation, the first of three required translation courses, is aimed to help students acquire correct understanding of translation, basic translation and theories and learn about the differences between English and Chinese languages. In addition, students will be introduced to various translation aids and tools such as specialized dictionaries, online references and resources. Through in-class exercise and home assignments, this course will help students familiarize themselves with basic translation techniques like addition, omission, conversion of parts of speech, etc.
