課程大綱Course Description:
本課程分為二部份,第一部份以設計思考觀點引導學生以同理心觀察生活環境,提出顧客痛點,學生以小組的方式依據設計思考的流程,從同理心發想,歸納及聚焦發現生活上的問題,進行創新激發並提出創造性的解決案,具體化創新最終各組應繪製出創新物的原型,作品草圖以及設計觀點(Point of View),且創新物必須符合SDGs觀點,提出能達到永續綠色循環的解決方案。第二部份即針對創新物,在專利法律之基本概念與案例應用,提出創新的專利保護規劃,學生透過GPSS(Global of Patent Search System)學習創新物的前案檢索,確認是否已有專利保護,若無則進行專利說明書的撰寫,若有相似專利前案存在則進行迴避設計。最後根據創新物的不同類型,學習如何區辨利用發明、新型或設計專利進行申請。
English Outline:
This course is divided into two parts. First, based on the perspective of design the class objective is to guide students to observe their living environment with empathy and identify customer pain points. Students work in groups, following the design thinking process, starting from empathy to brainstorming, synthesizing, and focusing on discovering problems in daily life. They then engage in creative ideation and propose innovative solutions. The final output for each group should include a prototype of the innovative product, sketches, and a design point of view (POV). Additionally, the innovative product must align with the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and present a solution that achieves sustainable green circulation.

The second part of the course focuses on the innovative product's patent protection planning, introducing basic concepts of patent law. Students learn to use the Global Patent Search System (GPSS) to conduct prior art searches for their innovative products, confirming whether patent protection already exists. If no prior patents exist, they proceed with drafting the patent specification. If similar prior patents are found, they engage in designing around the existing patents. Finally, students learn to distinguish between invention, utility model, or design patents and how to apply for the appropriate type of patent based on the nature of their innovative product.
