課程大綱Course Description：

本課程大綱介紹美術工藝運動到現代的設計發展簡史，並對各種風格（STYLE）之特徵、思想及演變作一介紹，並輔以技術、科技、材料、社會、心理之變遷。使學生對各種風格特徵、代表性設計師設計理念、重要作品等有初步之認識與瞭解。讓學生從基礎養成的設計史之研究方法與案例，藉以奠定未來研究開展的基礎，如設計史研究的意義、設計史研究的方法、設計史論文檢討、設計史研究議題操作演練。

English Outline：

This course provides a brief history of design development from the Arts and Crafts movement to the present day, introducing the characteristics, thoughts, and evolution of various styles. It supplements this with an exploration of changes in technology, materials, society, and psychology. The goal is to give students a preliminary understanding of the characteristics of different styles, the design concepts of representative designers, and important works. Through the study of foundational methods and cases in design history, students will establish the groundwork for future research, including the significance of design history research, research methods in design history, critical reviews of design history papers, and practical exercises in addressing research topics in design history.

本科目教學目標Course Objectives：
