課程大綱Course Description：

本課程提供全球重大議題之相關知識及英文術語，如全球暖化、糧食安全、物種保育、政經情勢、醫藥趨勢等。透過多元主題之課程設計、紀錄片欣賞與討論、小組專題報告，以期達到以下三個目標：
1.) 提高學生對國際事務之敏感度、拓展國際觀，
2.) 熟稔重要議題之專業用語，並能針對全球議題以英語進行討論及提出個人觀點，
3.) 習得英語簡報之基本技巧、提高英語簡報實力。

English Outline：

This course is designed to expose students to vital global issues, such as global warming, food security, biodiversity, endangered species conservation, world's political and economic development, and medical trends. Through documentaries, group discussions and presentations, upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

1). develop a greater awareness of international affairs and have a broader global view;
2). acquire a fundamental English vocabulary and terminology in the fields covered;
3). and become a competent presenter in English.

課堂教學+小組討論	平時成績General Performance：50% 期中考Midterm Exam：20% 期末考Final exam：20% 其它 Other：Attendance 10% Note: 1. 平時成績General Performance (50%) includes quizzes and class participation. 3. Midterm and Final exams refer to the class presentations.
