課程大綱Course Description：

本課程針對野生動物救傷流程、圈養管理實務、野放追蹤等域外保育議題進行探討。野生動物救傷和照養專業是近年保育工作相對欠缺的一環，本課程介紹域外保育相關議題，包括符合動物福利要求的救援和運輸程序、圈養繁殖、圈養行為和環境豐富化操作、及野放訓練評估和野放監測實務。針對本校野生動物收容中心的收容物種，如鳥類、爬蟲類、食肉目、穿山甲等案例進行探討。

English Outline：

This course discusses ex situ conservation issues such as rescue and rehabilitation procedures, wild animal captive management, and post-release monitoring. Important topics include rescue and transportation procedures that meet animal welfare requirements, captive breeding, appropriate husbandry techniques for behavioral and environmental enrichment as well as pre-release training and post-release monitoring practices. The course introduces the cases of species rescued in Pingtung Rescue Center, such as avian, reptiles, carnivores, and pangolins.
