課程大綱Course Description：

本課程著重於體內醣類與脂質之代謝，並了解其能量代謝不平衡所引發之代謝性症候群。並探討代謝性症候群之能量代謝、細胞功能、基因調控與目前之研究與治療方式。透過文獻探討建立學生對於醣類與脂質代謝對於代謝性症候群中所扮演之角色。

English Outline：

The objective of this course is to understand the carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in the human body, and to know the imbalance of the energy metabolism which leads metabolic syndrome. The energy metabolism, cell functions, gene regulation in metabolic syndrome will be discussed. In addition, the current research and the treatments will also be addressed. By literature reviewing and discussion lead the students to establish the comprehensive knowledge of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in metabolic syndrome.

讓學生了解 1. 了解動物如何維持生理平衡(To understand how to maintain Homeostasis in animal) 2. 了解營養如何影響動物生理( How nutrition affect the physiology in animal) 3. 了解生理間個層級彼此之調控(包含系統、器官與細胞) (The regulation in different level in body, including system, organ and cells)
