課程大綱Course Description:
二十一世紀到底是什麼樣的世界?人類追求的是什麼?如果人類一味的延續過去的舊思維,人類能倖存到永續嗎?很多的問題值得我們深思,值得認真去改革。所謂「生物多樣性」是在生命世界中存在的不同或差異,生命世界裡由最小的DNA(遺傳物質)、基因、細胞、組織、器官、個體、族群,乃至生態系,都存在著差異或不同。近年來,先進的科學大國對種源、基因及物種多樣性的研究與保存不遺餘力,其目的就是要使全地球上所有生物都能存活下來,以進一步提供人類的福祉。生物的多樣化也提供生命及自然界複雜的交互作用:譬如,相生、相剋、競爭、共生、寄生及附生等。越複雜的交互作用,使生態系更趨穩定,人類依賴此穩定的生態系才得永續。環境保護及自然保育就是為保障「生物多樣性」所必要的措施。因此,在人類社會的各行各業都必須重視及落實「生物多樣性」的觀念。課程內容包括:基因、病毒、微生物、陸域海域生物、外來入侵動植物、地景生態、生態工法及社區營造等與生物多樣性相關之議題。

Many issues deserve our deep consideration and are worthy of serious reform. The so-called "biodiversity" is the difference or difference in the life world. Course content includes biodiversity-related issues such as genes, viruses, microorganisms, land and sea organisms, invasive alien plants and animals, landscape ecology, ecological engineering methods, and community building.
