課程大綱Course Description：

大一英文(1)(第一級)旨在奠定學生英文之基本閱讀能力，並於期末舉行全校會考，以鑑定其修習之成果。本課程著重在字彙的加強、文法與文章結構的理解，以及閱讀技巧的運用。修習本課程後，學生將能夠閱讀和運用上下文來幫助理解文章的主旨大意。

English Outline：

Freshman English (1) (Level 1) aims to develop students’ basic reading skills in English. A unified final exam is offered to evaluate students’ learning performance. This course places major emphasis on the reinforcement of vocabulary, a basic understanding of English grammar and sentence structures, and the application of reading strategies. By the end of this course, students will be able to read and understand the main ideas of articles and support their understanding through the use of context.
