課程大綱Course Description：

本課程主要在提供進行研究之程序及撰寫研究報告與科學性專業論文必要的基本觀念與必備的知識。課程之重要觀念與研究程序以講授為主，討論為輔，並將要求進行研究論文之評述及有關研究方法之專題報告，以促進對研究方法的認識與了解。主要內容包含：科學研究與研究程序；研究問題、範圍、變項與假設；研究構想書之內容架構與要求；文獻回顧；研究架構設計；變數測量；資料蒐集；資料分析與編碼；統計分析與預測方法；多變量分析方法簡介；結果討論與呈現；論文報告與寫作。

English Outline：

The main purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to the process of conducting scientific research and writing technical reports. Though lecture is the primary pedagogy used, discussion will also be stressed. Each student is required to make a formal presentation in class for critics on the literature reviewed. The following topics will be included: scientific approach and research process, elements of a research, research proposal, literature review, research structure and design, variables measurement, data collection, data encoding, statistical analysis, results presentation and report writing.
