課程大綱Course Description：

本課程的主要目的是經由西方世界不同史蹟與文化的介紹，來瞭解他們各自環境背景、思想觀念、宗教信仰等不同風貌，並且要知道各個文明的興衰與變遷。 由此，不但可以反省自己文化發展與限制上的課題，更可以學習、尊重與欣賞各種不同文化之美。

English Outline：

The main purpose of this course is to introduce Western historical remains and culture. We want to understand their different environmental background, thought, belief, and the rise and fall of each civilization. Hence, we not only discuss the topics of our own culture development and restriction, but also learn to respect and enjoy the elegance of different culture.
