This course aims to cultivate students’ abilities in Hakka transcription and pronunciation. Through the discussion and practice of Hakka consonants, vowels, syllable structure, tones, and phonological processes, and the representing phonetic symbols, students can improve their pronunciation of Hakka and become proficient in distinguishing and transcribing Hakka sounds. The textbooks are taken from the "Manual for the Hakka Phonetic Alphabet Scheme" of the Ministry of Education and the Hakka Committee Hakka Certification Vocabulary Question Bank.
