The aim of this course is to acquaint the students with the principles of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS). The course also arranges the demonstration sessions to the students in order to fully understand the functions in our system. The students can make use of the system on their research in the future. This course includes the principle and structure of SEM, qualitative X-ray analysis and practical operating in our equipment.
