This course aims to help students acquire the basic knowledge and skills and practical applications related to gerontological social work. Upon completing the course, students will be able to understand: (1) the development of aged society; (2) the physical, psychological and social development and assessment; (3) the cognitive and emotional assessment and treatment; (4) professional knowledge and skills related to gerontological social work; (5) other issues about suicide, substance abuse, negligence and abuse, and hospice care.
