The main purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to the process of conducting scientific research and writing technical reports. Though lecture is the primary pedagogy used, discussion will also be stressed. Each student is required to make a formal presentation in class for critics on the literature reviewed. The following topics will be included: scientific approach and research process, elements of a research, research proposal, literature review, research structure and design, variables measurement, data collection, data encoding, statistical analysis, results presentation and report writing.
